OUR STORY
Founder, Mark McFadden
In 2001, after joining the Montreal-based care teams that serviced northern Quebec Indigenous communities, Mark took a fulltime position with Cree Board of Health of James Bay to assist in establishing permanent physiotherapy services for the hospital, out-patient, and home care services. He also assisted in planning and program for day-centre services being established throughout these communities.
Upon returning to Montreal, he joined the Kinatex Sports Medicine clinic teams in three locations and accepted the opportunity to work with Le Grand Ballet Canadien de Montreal. Heading to Ontario in 2006, Mark landed in Toronto and a new experience as Operations Manager for a boutique marketing and design firm, with the goal of acquiring more business skills to in preparation for establishing his own clinic. Returning to fulltime practice in 2008, Mark began providing care at the Adelaide Club in Toronto, where integrating clients’ recovery with personal trainers, pilates and yoga instructors, along with massage therapists, chiropractors, naturopaths, nutritionists, and traditional Chinese medicine practitioners truly inspired the desire to participate in a community of care for the benefit of the people Mark was helping. Branching out, Mark established PhysioGarage in Toronto in 2010 a small “hobby shop” that set him on course to establish his own practice. In 2014, when relocating to live and work in Port Hope Ontario he began as senior staff physiotherapist and clinic manager. Within a short time, he moved into the newly created role of Vice President of Operations with We-Fix-U Health Centers, a privately owned multisite clinic operating in the Durham, Northumberland, and Peterborough Counties. The scope of this role fully immersed Mark in all details of management of a large-scale, multisite, multidiscipline health clinic. Taking the inevitable next step forward in his career, Mark has now established his private care services at PhysioGarage in Port Hope. This new enterprise is situated within the unique and recently built training facility Focused Momentum, a spacious and wonderfully equipped one-to-one training facility. Throughout his career, Mark continues training and advancing his skill set in the field with a clinical focus on musculoskeletal care, injury recovery, and sport-specific recovery. Believing that the whole experience is what matters most when providing a healing and caring service, Mark strives to make every session the best session ever. Sharing knowledge and educating clients to empower them and help them understand their situation and how it can improve, as well as collaborating with other providers and healers to provide a 360 degree experience and direction toward improvement and recovery.
